OKC-based American Fidelity Continues Growth
AFA Expands Staff, Promotes Nine Officers, Adds New Services and Implements All-Wireless Technology
(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) – OKC-based American Fidelity Assurance Company continues growing, hiring more than 70 people so far this year and promoting nine Colleagues in leadership positions. Much of this growth comes from adding new services and products and implementing technology innovations to better serve Customers.
In the past year American Fidelity has expanded service offerings to better meet Customers’ needs. These services address Customers’ needs arising from implementation of the Health Care Reform, helping them comply with regulations.
“American Fidelity continues to grow our Colleagues and Customer base. With new additions to our benefits and services we are a primary partner in the delivery of employee benefit plans for our employer and employee Customers,” said Jason Pledger, vice president of business development and sales support. “I’m looking forward to the future with American Fidelity as we build up our technology offering around our core business and bring easier ways for our Customers to purchase and manage their products.”
Part of the technology improvements includes implementing an all-wireless system in our new home office location, which currently houses about 200 of our Colleagues. Eventually, more than 1,000 home office Colleagues will move to the 9000 Broadway location in Oklahoma City. The wireless environment allows Colleagues flexibility and mobility. They can travel throughout the building and even onto the patios without losing connectivity. The phone system runs through their laptops, so they can serve Customers or participate in conference calls regardless of where they’re sitting at the moment. This makes it easier to collaborate with other Colleagues and share ideas to help Customers.

All of this growth led to promotions for several Colleagues. AFA promoted four Colleagues to assistant vice president and five to vice president. All of these Colleagues serve as Company officers.
